Definitions
Words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following
conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they
appear in singular or in plural.
- Personal Information (also “Information”) means any Data that is related to a person
that can be used to identify said person, either by itself or when combined with other
information.
- Subject means the person who the Personal Information relates to.
- Policy means this document that describes how BoostBytes collects, uses, and shares
Personal Information.
- Terms mean the Terms and Conditions that form an agreement between the User and
BoostBytes regarding the use of Products. The Terms can be found here.
- Cookie Policy means the document that explains how BoostBytes uses Cookies on its
Products. The Cookie Policy can be found here.

1. Data BoostBytes collects
The Personal Information BoostBytes collects depends on how the Subject interacts with the
Products.
1.1 Information the Subject provides to BoostBytes
Subjects may directly provide Personal Information directly to BoostBytes. This Information can
include but is not limited to:
- Account information, the Information filled in while creating or editing the details of an
Account. This includes the Subject’s name, email address, profile picture, and their
relationship to the Workspace or Workspaces they are a member of.
- Payment information, the Information provided to process payments for Services. This
can include address or banking information. This can also include agreed upon rates for
Products, such as Subscriptions.
- Customer service information, the Information provided while in direct contact with
BoostBytes representatives (including support, sales, quality assurance, and customer
success management), regardless of communication medium. BoostBytes may also
record audio of these contact moments for future reference or training, unless requested
not to.
- Service interactions, the Information and Data provided by interacting with elements in a
Service. (e.g. creating projects, performing classifications, adding notes, or writing chat
messages)
- E-Mail data, the Information and Data provided through sending E-Mail messages to
BoostBytes, or by using forms on Products.
1.2 Information BoostBytes automatically collects
1.2.1 Within Products
BoostBytes may automatically collect some Personal Information about its Users on its
Products. This information may include Information about the Subject such as their IP (Internet
Protocol) Address, Cookies (see the Cookie Policy), MAC address, details about their browser,
timestamps on which they use our Products, timestamps on which they view web pages, and
metrics on how they use our Products.
1.2.2 Within third party services
BoostBytes may also automatically collect Information about Subjects through automated
processes within Products that inspect conversations (chat messages) on other platforms.
BoostBytes always obtains consent of all Subjects in chats by linking to this Policy, and will only
use this information in a limited capacity for chat functionality within Products and their
development. Use of a conversation where this Policy is provided (linked directly or indirectly)
implies consent to this Policy. This information is never shared with any third parties.
1.3 Information obtained from other sources
Other Users may provide Personal Information about other Users or Subjects, for example the
Data needed to create an Account for a coworker or an employee.
Third party services may provide Personal Information to BoostBytes in accordance with their
respective Privacy Policy. This Personal Information can be either voluntarily provided by the
service, or requested by BoostBytes to provide Services.
2. How Personal Information is used
BoostBytes only uses Personal Information where there is either express consent of the
Subject, a legitimate interest to provide a Product, or where it has a legal obligation to do so.
BoostBytes does not disclose, display, or share any Personal Information with third parties
unless specified in this Policy or with express consent of the Subject.
If BoostBytes uses Personal Information based on the consent of the Subject, they have the
right to withdraw their consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based
on such consent before it is withdrawn. To exercise these rights, please contact BoostBytes with
the details at the bottom of this Policy.
BoostBytes uses the Personal Information it collects for a variety of business purposes,
including:
2.1. Providing and managing the requested Products
BoostBytes needs to process Personal Information for its day to day operations and to provide
functionality Products. Personal Information may be used in many places including, but not
limited to, Account creation, Account management, Workspace management, responding to
contact requests, processing payments, managing Subscriptions, providing authorization and
authentication to Products, and notifying Users of various situations and events.
This is necessary to provide the Products as requested by the Subject.
2.2 Communication with the Subject
BoostBytes may need to use some Personal Information when communicating with the Subject.
This includes but is not limited to responding to requests, providing support, and notifying
Subjects about Product updates. This is necessary to provide the Products as requested by the
Subject. This communication may be automated and may require automatic analysis of analysis
through AI.
2.3 Protecting, improving, and debugging Products
BoostBytes may need to use some Personal Information when developing its Products. This
Personal Information is anonymized where possible, and handled by as few humans as
possible. BoostBytes may also use aggregated Information and Data for internal insights and
analysis to find problems in or possible improvements for Products.
This is necessary to provide the Products as requested by the Subject, or for legitimate
business interest.
2.4 Use and function of Products
Some Personal Information is displayed in Products as part of the functionality as requested by
Users. This includes, but is not limited to, Users being able to look up Accounts in the system to
add to a Workspace, Users being able to view Information they requested from third party
sources, and Users being able to see the Data they or a coworker has entered.
This is necessary to provide the Products as requested by Users.
3. How Personal Information is shared
3.1 Account details
Account details are fully visible to all Users in the same Workspace.
Account details are partially visible to all Users who know (part of) the email address associated
when looking for Accounts to add to a Workspace.
3.2 Service interactions
All Service interactions are fully visible to all Users in the same Workspace, depending on their
access rights as configured in the Workspace.
All Service interactions are fully visible to all BoostBytes staff.
3.3 Legal disclosures
BoostBytes may have to disclose Information when required by law, subpoena, or other legal
process. BoostBytes also reserves the right to disclose Information where needed to defend
itself in a court of law. BoostBytes will attempt to notify Subjects about legal demands of their
Information when BoostBytes deems this appropriate in its own judgment, but does not promise
to do so.
3.4 Change in control or sale
BoostBytes can share Information as part of a sale, merger, or change in control, or in
preparation for any of these events. Any other legal entity that is involved in such an event
reserves the right to continue to use the Information as agreed upon in the most recent version
of the Policy, unless otherwise agreed upon by the Subjects.
3.5 Tools and third parties
BoostBytes may have to share some Information with third party tools and services. This
Information sharing is purely for the functionality of these tools and services, but is subject to the
policies of third parties. BoostBytes makes a best effort attempt at minimizing this Information
sharing where possible.
BoostBytes shares data with several third parties, these include but are not limited to:
- BoostBytes may share customer service Information with PipeDrive (the CRM system),
Crisp (the chat service), and Calendly (the meeting scheduler).
- BoostBytes may share payment information with Stripe, the payment processor.
- BoostBytes may share web-browsing information with Cloudflare, to protect Products.
- BoostBytes may share email communication data with Google, the service hosting it.
- BoostBytes may share communications with Anthropic, to analyze its contents and
generate responses. This is subject to Anthropics commercial API Data Processing
Addendum; Anthropic only serves as a processor, not a controller.
- BoostBytes may save and transit data on hosting providers like Hetzner, OVH, Contabo,
and BackBlaze.
- BoostBytes may share Site access data, form submission data, and email data with
Webflow, a host for some Sites.
4. Rights
4.1 Data Retention
BoostBytes keeps all Information for as long as it is necessary to fulfill the purpose(s) for which
it was collected or needed for the uses described in section 2. The specific retention periods
depend on the nature of Information and its planned processing purposes/uses, as well as
possible legal requirements. BoostBytes strives to keep as little Information for the shortest
duration possible to provide its Products and Services.
When processing and thus retention is no longer relevant for the Information, it will either be
deleted or anonymized where technically possible. Information may be retained for a longer
period in backup archives.
4.2 Opt-out, rectification, and erasure
Subjects have the right to obtain a copy of their Information, opt out of Information collection,
have Information rectified, and have Information erased. To exercise these rights, please
contact BoostBytes with the details at the bottom of this Policy. Information requested to be
deleted may be retained for a longer time in backup archives.
4.3 Minors
The Products are not targeted to nor intended for children under the age of 18. If a minor’s
Information is found in BoostBytes Products, their Information will be erased. If you have any
reason to believe a minor’s Information is stored in our databases, please contact BoostBytes
so the Information can be erased.
5. Security
BoostBytes makes its best effort to keep all Information as secure as it reasonably can via
industry standards. BoostBytes can not guarantee the security of Information in the case of a
breach of any of our safeguards. Users are responsible for keeping their Accounts and access
rights to Information secure, as per the Terms.
5.1 Location
BoostBytes is located in The Netherlands, and Information is stored in The Netherlands,
Germany, and France. Regular Information processing only happens on servers in these
aforementioned countries. Some Information processing may also happen on servers physically
located within the United States of America, owned and operated by BoostBytes.
BoostBytes may store encrypted backup archives in these aforementioned countries, as well as
in the United States of America.
6. Policy change
BoostBytes reserves the right to change this Policy, when doing so it will notify the Users at
least 30 days prior to these changes going into effect. If a Subject objects to any changes, they
may request their Personal Information to be deleted via contacting BoostBytes. If a User
continues to use Products after the date on which the changed Policy takes effect, they
automatically consent to the updated Policy, and the collection, use, and sharing of Information
is subject to the updated Policy as of its effective date.
